The aim of setting up Nigerian Army Command Schools was to provide qualitative and affordable education for children and wards of service personnel as well as civilians. There are 32 Command Children Schools (CCS) and 30 Command Secondary Schools (CSS) in Nigeria.

Command Schools were known over the years for high standard of discipline and as citadel of learning and knowledge acquisition.

CSSS BOYS SHAGARI, is open to all male Nigerians who fulfill the given entry requirements, Interested candidates must be male Nigerians whose age should be between 12 and 14 years at the time of entry into CSSS BOYS SHAGARI. Candidates must have completed their primary school education. They must also be medically and physically fit and must be of good moral character. Furthermore, Candidates would be considered for admission only if they follow the application procedures online through this portal; and only if they have been invited to the selection interview and they pass all requirements.
